I’m Kerry and I’ve been the Deputy County Welfare Officer since 2010. In my day job I work for the Local Government Ombudsman as a children’s specialist dealing with education and social services complaints that concern children and young people.
I have to make suggestions to Councils to put in place procedural changes, and staff training, to ensure no repeats of poor practice. As well as my role as a Welfare Officer I am a ‘Safe Hands’ tutor and enjoy meeting Club Welfare Officers when training time is due!
In my role I work with Graham on matters that come to his attention, I take over when he’s away and I am always available to answer any questions clubs have. Outside work I’m a mum of two teenagers, two Chihuahuas and a cat (that thinks he’s a dog). I also like reading and have been trying to write a novel for about five years!
