The ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ECB ACO) has been set up by ECB to represent umpires, scorers and match referees throughout cricket in England and Wales.
The ECB ACO was established on 1st January 2008, with members of the Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers having voted to join members of the ECB Officials Association in the new organisation.
The ECB believes that the establishment of the ACO representing Officials, under the auspices of the national governing body for cricket in England and Wales and supported by the MCC, the Guardians of the Laws of Cricket, is a positive move that will command widespread support within the game.
