South Leicestershire College (SLC)
The college are able to provide support in the following areas;
- Basic manufacturing assembling and basic fitting of joinery items
- Basic brickwork, basic pointing, basic block work and basic slab laying/ block paving
- Some basic painting
In order for the college to consider and commit to this work a club will need to be within a 20 mile radius of the Wigston campus.
In 2015/16 SLC will be supporting Kirby Muxloe CC carry out some substantial improvements on site. They will be converting the back of a football stand into a machinery store for the groundsman, whilst also re-positioning the electornic scoreboard, re-decking the area in front of the changing rooms and repairing and re-painting the boundary fences.
Whilst this will take a considerable amount of time, they are open to speaking with clubs to establish if they can support your needs. If you are keen to explore this possibility, please complete the project details form below and return to Heather Beattie.

SLC have taken on a number of projects in recent years and supported Countesthorpe, Blaby, Electricity Sports and Gumley CC. The Countesthorpe project was the largest of these projects and involved the extension and modernisation of the current changing facilities. With a commercial value of £11,500, the club have saved £5,000 on this project thanks to the support of the college.
