DBS

This was formerly known as (CRB) Criminal Record Bureau it is now called (DBS) Disclosure and Barring Service. All coaches and volunteers working with children need a DBS which has been or was issued within the last 3 years.

First Aid

Active coaches should attend a First Aid Course every three years.  Courses last 3 hours and provide knowledge, practical skills and confidence to administer basic first aid.

Safeguarding Young Cricketers (SYC)

As part of the  ECB Coach Education qualifications, the Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) course is on-line and called Safeguarding Young Cricketers (SYC). This course is applicable to all new coaches attending Coach Support Worker and Certificate courses, and to existing coaches updating their previous SPC qualification.
