This course is designed to help to develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead coaching sessions for young people and adults and create safe, enjoyable, stimulating player-centred coaching environments.
Coaches who are going to Coach Young People and Adults in ‘Open Age’Cricket. They may be new coaches, existing UKCC1/ECB Level 1 or Children’s coaches who wish to access ‘young person and adult specific’ content
UKCC Level 2
- 8 x 3 hour face-to-face modules
- 6 x 1 hour e-learning modules (approximately)
- Applied coaching observed in Module 5 and Module 8
- 6 x applied coaching (supported practice) sessions in own environment in young people and adults environment
- Online coaching reflections
- Online multiple choice assessment
At least 17 years of age (learners may attend the course and assessment if they are over 17 years of age; however, due to the level of responsibility associated with the role, they will not be certificated until they are 18 years of age)
Pre-requisites for certification
- 18 years of age
- Current emergency aid certificate
- Current Safeguarding Young Cricketers certificate or equivalent
- Disclosure and Barring Service check through ECB

Pre-requisites for Certification
ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults (or ECB Level 2/UKCC2 equivalent) Emergency 1st Aid Certificate, Safe Guarding & Protecting Children, Current CRB, Aged 17 years at least to begin the course and 18 years at Assessment.
