At Leicestershire County Cricket Club we are aiming to ‘secure the future of cricket by inspiring people to choose and enjoy a lifelong involvement in the game.’ As part of this vision, we aim to use cricket to address issues of social wellbeing and inequalities in our local communities.

Events

Through our close work with partners we are regularly involved with supporting community events across Leicester. We have supported high-profile events such as the Leicester Get Active Festival and local events such as the Coleman Ward Festival.

Playing

There are many opportunities to get out and start playing cricket in your community. Leicestershire County Cricket Club are currently delivering several programmes that can provide you with a variety of playing opportunities including; Chance to Shine Street, Lord’s Taverners Wicketz, Last Man Stands and The ECB T20 City Cup.

Our South Asian Community Programme (SACP) plan is key in achieving our vision and focuses on retaining existing players and increasing opportunities for South Asian participants to play more often or more regularly in teams.
