Here you will find information about all of the cricket playing opportunities available in your community. These range from community Chance to Shine Street sessions to the option of competing in the ECB T20 City Cup. If you have enjoyed taking part in any of these programmes, then there are also details of how to get involved with a cricket club near you.

Chance to Shine Street
Chance to Shine Street

Chance to Shine Street is a quick, small-sided game played in urban areas with limited green spaces. Played in ball-courts, multi-use game areas and indoors, this 20 ball, 20 minute game is played with a tennis ball wrapped in electrical tape. Players can wear whatever they like and no equipment is required, making it easy for everyone to get involved.

Last Man Stands

Last Man Stands

Last Man Stands (LMS) is 8-a-side T20, played by the normal laws of cricket with some extra rules to make the game more inclusive and exciting. Games last just over 2 hours. Unlike 11-a-side T20, all players get involved in the game. Players can register as a team or as an individual.

The ECB T20 City Cup

The ECB T20 City Cup, formerly the Wisden City Cup, was designed to promote inner-city cricket and social cohesion and has been staged since 2009. The ECB T20 City Cup is a fantastic programme that is designed to encourage inner-city players to take part in a high standard of T20 cricket enabling them to fast track not only in their own counties, but nationally with the potential opportunity to gain selection on to the MCC Young Cricketers Programme.
