The ECB T20 City Cup, formerly the Wisden City Cup, was designed to promote inner-city cricket and social cohesion and has been staged in London under the auspices of Middlesex County Cricket Club since 2009. In 2013, 35 teams competed in eight LTCC competitions based across the country: Birmingham, Bradford, Leicester, Luton, North London, South London, Wolverhampton and Manchester.
The main aim of the competition is to identify players, with talent, who have not played within the County Age Group system, enabling them to potentially fast track not only in their own counties but nationally with the opportunity to be part of a formal talent identification process.
