On the 28th and 29th March, the City Cricket Academy played host to the County U13 and U15 Lady Taverners Indoor competitions. These girls’ only competitions were also part of the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Super-Series Finals.
The U13 Competition saw 5 schools competing for a chance to represent Leicestershire in the midlands regional competition. Mount Grace, Leicester Grammar, Castle Donnington, Crown Hills and Long Field played each other once in a league format. The league was well contested with 3 possible winners going into the final games of the day. Mount Grace were the eventual winners having won all 4 of their games in convincing style. A fantastic bowling display by Elise and Becky saw them take 5 wickets in 5 balls to bowl Leicester Grammar out for 32 in their final match.
