As part of our ongoing support for clubs and youth participation we have planned to run a series of development meetings across the county to help understand how things are in junior clubs and what, if any, support is required to keep engaging young people through cricket.

These meetings follow the Leicestershire and Rutland Youth League district meetings to allow open and honest discussions to take place and help to bang the drum for all that is great about youth cricket while highlighting areas of concern and establishing ways to improve these.

It is hoped that both Junior coordinator and Club Chairman can attend this meeting and we are looking for a full involvement from those that attend. The aim is to help each other to continue to develop junior sections and the club as a whole. Please feel free to forward onto another club representative if you are not able to attend one of the below dates

Below is a rough agenda for the evening.

Please feel free to highlight anything you would like to discuss at these meetings by contacting Mark Barber.

·         Coaching courses and training for young people

·         Club mentoring programme

·         Recruiting and managing volunteers

·         Club support – funding included

·         School club links

·         Future planning
