Leicestershire County Cricket Club Community Team are committed to the development of cricket. Key to this development is working with schools and creating opportunities to progress into the club environment. This is achieved through supporting the development of school-club links and providing opportunities for children to compete in school competition at primary and secondary.

Chance to Shine

Leicestershire County Cricket Club Community Teams’ School Delivery Programme is primarily driven through the Chance to Shine programme which is enabling children in Primary and SecondaryChance to Shine Street Schools throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to access quality coaching, competition and club based cricket opportunities.

Princes Trust XL

Princes_Trust_206c-copyXL clubs provide a personal development programme aimed at young people aged 13-19 at risk of underachievement or exclusion from school. Although no longer funded, Leicestershire County Cricket Club Community Team continue to work with and deliver to four XL clubs in Leicester and Leicestershire.
