Leicestershire County Cricket Club is running a course to give budding umpires the opportunity to complete their ECB ACO Level 1 qualification.
Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 7-9pm for 11 weeks
Saturday, February 18, 2017, 10-4pm for 4 weeks
Venue: Mike Turner Cricket Centre, Fischer County Ground, Grace Road, Leicester, LE2 8EB.
This course is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of the laws of the game as well as the fundamental skills required for match management. This course will also leave you with the basic tools required if you were to umpire on a regular basis. The course would be suitable for:
• Junior coaches
• Club umpires
• Player umpires
• Anyone interesting in umpiring
The course content will cover everything you need to know when it comes to umpiring a game of cricket. The course is led by accredited tutors with several years of experience between them, including umpiring at the professional level of the game.
Upon successful completion of the course, and after passing a DBS check, you will be a fully qualified umpire and able to officiate in the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket League. If you are associated to a Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League team, the league will refund the cost upon receipt of your Level 1 certificate.
