Neeta Patel, who has given 12 ½ years of dedicated service to Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket, has left the company following a restructure.

Neeta supported the Leicestershire Young Cricketers programme that has helped produce England players Stuart Broad, James Taylor and Harry Gurney, as well as players who have become key members of the Leicestershire First team. Those include Josh Cobb, Nathan Buck, Shiv Thakor, Greg Smith, Matthew Boyce, Tom Wells and Alex Wyatt.

Neeta has also been instrumental in the development of the Women & Girls programme at Grace Road with the Women’s team being promoted from division 5 to 3 in recent seasons and the Under 13’s and 17’s winning national competitions. This has also led to 3 player’s trialling for the ECB Player Pathway in 2014.

Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Chairman Jeff Baxter said: “We would like to thank Neeta Patel for her service to Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket over the last 12 ½ years. Neeta has been a loyal servant of the company and worked diligently for us over the years at Grace Road. We wish her every success in the future.”
