The ECB ACO recently released new guidance regarding ground, weather and light for umpires officiating the recreational game. Alongside the ECB’s national strategy ‘Get The Game On‘, this could cause a little confusion around when to and when not to continue cricket matches.

The GGO guidance attached below is designed to alleviate any confusion around the new guidance and the existing campaign. The Umpires Guide to ground, weather and light, also attached below, is for those officiating the game and the questions to ask yourself before commencing play.

For more information around the new guidance, ECB ACO members can consult their recent GWL guidance booklet received through the post or attend a new GWL training module.
