The ECB has launched the latest version of icoachcricket, which is aimed at giving access to anyone who wants to play cricket by giving ideas of various games and formats that suits their needs. It is a web based interactive cricket resource and in the past has solely been used as a coaching resource aimed at new candidates who have attended a UKCC2 coaching course. This new version has now been made available for anyone to use.

Heather Beattie, LRC Workforce Officer, said: “icoachcricket is a great tool to ignite and inspire cricket within all communities. It is aimed at different audiences and levels of cricket development, with skills, drills and games that are available at the touch of your fingertips. This is great to have and its completely free.

“So if it’s Cricket Activators, Coach Support Workers, Teachers, Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles and even children can use it to on any devise.”

Rob Townsend Barkby United CC shared his views in Hitting the Seam 33  about icoachcricket– Few Coaches would argue against the importance of planning athletic practice, planning has always been an ad hoc process, unreflective of some of the day-to-day challenges faced in coaching and somewhat restrictive in trying to meet the needs of different athletes. icoachcricket is an invaluable tool in constructing plans for junior cricketers.
