Indoor League

Wednesday 13th January saw the launch of a new Women’s Cricket Indoor League. The league, run at Regent College in Leicester City, will have 5 teams from around the county competing for 1st place and new equipment for their club.

The league has been supported by Loughborough based Talent Cricket who offered £10 vouchers towards the weekly ‘Outstanding Player’ prizes as well as a £40 voucher to the winning team towards further kit purchases.

Outdoor League

Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket are working in partnership with Urban Cricket Legends to establish a Women’s outdoor league. We are also currently working with local clubs and further/higher education teams to make sure the competitions suits their needs.

Women’s Midlands League

The Midland Women’s Cricket League operates to provide quality cricket for Women’s Cricket Teams in the Midlands Area with the opportunity for the best club to go forward to the National End of Season Knockout. At present there is a Premier league and 3 lower divisions playing region wide and a 4th social division split into regional areas. Matches are full length (50/45/40 overs depending on division) played on non- county Sundays throughout the summer.

In the 2015 season Lutterworth Town play in the John Smat Premier League, Sileby Town play in Division 3 and Ibstock Vixens play in Division 4 South. Kibworth are currently working towards entering a team in the women’s league in 2016.

The Leicestershire Senior Women currently play in the ECB Women’s County Division 3.
