Rahim was recognised & awarded the “Young coach of the year” award, which was presented by England’s one and only, Graham Thorpe.

The day consisted of coaches travelling to Loughborough from all over England and Wales. These coaches were also recognised and awarded for various categories by their counties.  Throughout the day the England performance coaches took small groups for specialist coaching sessions, which lasted approximately 40mins per session.

These sessions demonstrated how the elite coaches, coach the current England players and how different technology is used to improve performance. Graham Thorpe (Batting session), Kevin Shine (Fast bowling session), Chris Taylor (Fielding session) and Peter Such (Spin Bowling session). By the end of the day the coaches were exhausted, having learnt how the elite coaches go about their jobs, they also had the great opportunity of spending the day with current England coaches and legends of the game in an unbelievable facility. Rahim’s words after “It was certainly a day that I will cherish for the rest of my life and one for the memory bank”!!!!!
