In 2020 Coach Education will now be known as Coach Development with new courses coming out.

Players need coaches with expertise, support and passion at every stage of their development. At all levels of the game coaches can make a difference to a players experience and help them enhance their performance.

Support Coach 

Supporting coaches and enhancing the experience of players is a crucial role to play.

This course is for anyone aged 16 and over who want to support a qualified cricket coach or take their first steps into coaching.


ECB Foundation I Coach

This is a new coach development programme and qualification that has been created to help more people take their first steps into coaching cricket.

A blend of e-learning and face to face modules lead by ECB Coach Developer will explore what coaching looks like, the impact you can have as an ECB Foundation I Coach, the skills you can help players to develop and how you can from your experience.

ECB Advance Coach

The challenges for all coaches is to learn as they develop, just as players do. Therefor, ECB have developed a programme that will help you challenge your current coaching practice and further your knowledge and understanding in variety of areas.

This is for coaches working with players and teams across playing environment that hold ECB Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

ECB Specialist Coach

ECB flagship programme has been developed to provide coaches with an oppertunity to explore areas that they have an interest and passion for. Coaches attend core modules followed by specialist modules during application phase.

Each coach is assigned a mentor who provide individual support and development though out the programme.

This course is for coaches working with players and teams across all playing environments that hold an ECB Level 3 qualification or equivalent with at least one year of coaching experience since certification.
