The East Midlands World Cup Legacy Group – a collaboration between Derbyshire Cricket Board, Leicestershire County Cricket Club and the England and Wales Cricket Board are looking to recruit aspiring individuals to join the world of Sports Development and Marketing.  The successful applicants will gain valuable experience across recreational activation, sports marketing, coaching and administration. The programme will involve operating across East Midland’s Legacy Programme for Women and Girls Cricket.

Typically, activities will include supporting;

  • Women and Girls Soft Ball Cricket Events
  • Coaching Soft Ball Cricket taster sessions to schools and community groups around Derbyshire and Leicestershire
  • Regional promotional activities concerning Loughborough Lightning and the KIA Super League

The role will operate largely across Derbyshire and Leicestershire but will be based at Sports Park, Loughborough University, Loughborough. The Internships will last for 12-16 weeks with support provided by the Regional Participation and Growth team. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Salary: £2,940 – £3,701 (*based on 35hrs p/w for 15 wks. @£7.05p/h – Apprentice rate for 21-24 year olds – Salary may vary depending on age) Expenses will be paid for any costs associated within the role (including travel and the relevant equipment). Travel and expenses can be claimed from the place of work (Loughborough University).
