With the ICC Women’s World Cup being hosted in England in 2017 it is important to maximise its impact and focus additional support to women involved in cricket. Following the success of the first Women’s Coaching Conference in April ECB will be running 3 further free coaching conferences for female coaches during January and February next year.

The conferences will bring women together, creating a relaxed and social environment in which they can:

  • Develop their coaching skills & knowledge
  • Build their local support network
  • Learn and share new ideas to engage with players – inspiring them to keep coming back to cricket

The conferences will be delivered by leading female coaches and former England players with support from the ECB coach development team, with a mixture of practical sessions and discussion groups. The focus in on upskilling coaches working in our clubs and communities with coaches of all levels welcome.

The most local conference to Leicestershire will be:

  • 11th February – Warwickshire CCC, Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham

Other conferences will be held at:

  • 21st January – Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield
  • 29th January – Myerscough College, Preston
