LCCC Foxes Club Expo

Leicestershire County Cricket Club recently welcomed over 100 guests to a highly successful first Foxes Club Expo at the Fischer County Ground.

The effective event, held on Sunday, February 11, was set up to support local clubs in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was met with fantastic feedback from clubs all around the county, local businesses and guests.

The day was structured with networking in the morning, giving the opportunity for people to chat to different organisations about all things club development.

There were workshops being delivered on accessing funding and capital investment, achieving ClubMark and working with sponsors. All sessions were hugely beneficial to the cricket clubs in attendance and offered useful information on how to achieve these goals going forward.

Staff from Leicestershire County Cricket Club were on hand to answer any questions that guests had and ensured that clubs knew that we are here to support them. The atmosphere in the room was brilliant and clubs benefitted from this time to get together and chat.

Attending clubs were also given an exclusive Vitality Blast ticket offer for Leicestershire Foxes against Lancashire Lightning on Wednesday, July, 18, a great opportunity to meet up and share more exciting cricketing experiences.

Organisations kindly donated various items to be given at random to clubs in attendance. Stuart Canvas kindly donated a germination sheet which was won by Leicester Electricity Sports. Rothley Park won a set of brand new stumps donated by ECB Extra Cover. Kukri donated a Spartan bat which Billesdon Cricket Club won and County Officers CC won the score board donated by Durant Cricket.

Leicestershire CCC would like to send a huge thank you to everybody who attended, donated and got involved in the event.

Many thanks to the organisations who came for the day, including: Stuart Canvas Group, Joe Humphries Memorial Trust, Loughborough Lightning, Bola, Marshall Woolridge, Durant Cricket, Sisis, Dennis, Premier Sports Fencing, Total-Play, Masuri, Leicestershire and Rutland Sport and Kukri. Your support on the day was much appreciated.
