NatWest CricketForce 2013 was launched on Friday 5th April at Harrow Town CC, where England cricketers Alastair Cook and Charlotte Edwards visited.
48 clubs across Leicestershire and Rutland registered to take part in NWCF 2013 with nearly 2000 clubs registering nationally – another record year. Leicestershire CCC players were out and about at local clubs over the weekend in support of NWCF which is an initiative designed to see facilities improved across the country and volunteers were out in force helping clubs. Each member of the Leicestershire CCC squad was assigned a club and Angus Robson and Anthony Ireland went to Electricity Sports CC to lend a hand. The duo are pictured with club captain Tony Pridmore.
Angus got stuck in by rolling the square while Anthony also helped out. The players enjoyed meeting people at the various clubs and Leicestershire is pleased to have been involved in NatWest CricketForce 2013.
Over the coming weeks, we hope that clubs will provide case studies to showcase the work they completed over the NWCF weekend and the weeks leading up to it. The will be available on the case study area of our web-site.
